Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon and her husband, Ranjan Tandon, have formalized a major initiative with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) to launch the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of Artificial Intelligence. The partnership was marked by an MoU signing attended by India’s Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, and other dignitaries. The school will be funded through a generous ₹100 crore endowment by the Tandons, with a focus on advancing India’s capabilities in AI research, education, and real-world impact.
The new school will operate at the intersection of technology, management, and societal development, bringing together top faculty, industry leaders, and policymakers. Its mission includes translating cutting-edge AI research into solutions that enhance decision-making and tackle complex challenges across sectors, reflecting IIMA’s legacy of leadership and innovation in higher education.
