Grammy Award–winning musician and philanthropist Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon has committed ₹100 crore to establish the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of Artificial Intelligence at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA). The initiative brings together her parallel pursuits in music, education, and social impact, positioning AI as a critical tool for future leadership, policy, and enterprise.
The school will focus on applied and responsible artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on management-driven use cases and societal benefit. IIMA leaders noted that the endowment will support faculty, students, and cross-disciplinary research, reinforcing the institute’s role in shaping how AI is integrated into real-world decision-making in India and beyond.
